Mary A. first started her yoga journey seven years ago in Washington D.C. She had stated that one of her friends swore by hot Vinyasa and brought her along one day. After that first class she loved it and got hooked! Mary practices three to five times per week and tries to go when time permits.
She used to be 30 pounds heavier when she first started her practice. Having tried cross-fit, running, and many other types of workouts, Mary found that yoga is the one workout that fits her body. She noticed her core is more toned—an area she’s struggled with. She’s also noticed she is more zen in her personal and professional life. She finds yoga practice helps her stay calm in a stressful work environment.
Mary said people had noticed a difference. Her family, in particular, always comments on how she had gotten into very good shape, and were very impressed by her ability to maintain a toned and strong physique. She stated that yoga is an amazing journey. She is very thankful that she found it and encourages everyone to get on board!
